Choices Booklists
Sponsored by the International Reading Association. The Choices Booklists highlight favorites of children, young adults, teachers, and librarians around the United States. Choices booklists are used in classrooms, libraries, and homes to help young people find books they will enjoy reading.

Outstanding Books for the College Bound
This list, created by a committee of the Young Adult Library Services Association of the American Library Association, is intended as a tool for a variety of audiences -- college bound students, educators, librarians, and parents. It is divided into five sections: fiction, biography, nonfiction, drama, and poetry. In selecting these works for the list, the committee used a variety of criteria: readability, cultural and ethnic diversity, balance of points of view, contemporary and classical works, different genres, and availability.

The Children's Book Council
The Children’s Book Council (CBC) is a non-profit trade organization dedicated to encouraging literacy and the use and enjoyment of children’s books, and is the official sponsor of Young People’s Poetry Week and Children’s Book Week each year. Sections of the site include: Bimonthly Showcase, Meet the Author/Illustrator, 75 Authors that Everyone Should Know, New Book Releases, and Awards and Prizes.
